Join us in Trieste - the European City of Science 2020!

Participants attending the on-site conference will have the opportunity to meet us in ESTECO’s hometown, Trieste. This Italian coastal town is close to the border with Slovenia and one and a half hours drive east of Venice.

A urban cocktail of many influences, Trieste is a fascinating city with a great scientific vocation, hosting more than 30 research centers and over 10,000 researchers and trainers. As the city has been appointed European City of Science 2020, thousands of visitors will gather here for the EuroScience Open Forum (ESOF) in September and we are proud to be part of it.

Getting there

Trieste airport (TRS) has daily connections to International airports like Rome (FCO) and Munich (MUC). In less than two hours by train or bus from Trieste, you can reach Venice International Airport (VCE), Treviso (TSF) and Ljubljana (LJU).

How to reach the venue

The newly renovated Molo IV is conveniently located between Trieste city center and the train station. Overlooking the sea and the Gulf of Trieste, the building can accommodate over 1000 persons in two large halls and an auditorium. This multifunctional location is equipped with heating /air conditioning, wifi and has a parking area with 600 parking lot.
