Born in 1969 in Milan, Giogio Provinciali received his degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Milan Polytechnic and in Naval Engineering from the ENSTA in Paris. Member of the Luna Rossa design team in the 2003, 2007, 2013 and 2017 America's Cup campaigns and consultant to the BMW Oracle Team for the victorious 2010 campaign. Currently he’s responsible for the performance prediction and optimization methods for the American Magic team, challenger for the 36 America's Cup. In addition to the America's Cup campaigns, he contributed to the design of appendages and performance prediction for numerous inshore and offshore racing boats in collaboration with the most prestigious yacht design studios.
